Exorians was an ambitious sci-fi project developed by Ethernal Labs and Culprit Studios, aiming to combine comics, NFTs, and gaming into a next-generation narrative and interactive experience.
• The Exorians universe was set to launch with a 12-issue comic series, written by acclaimed writers Scott Snyder (Batman, Wytches) and Frank Tieri (Spider-Man, Marvel vs. Capcom), and illustrated by Ryan Smallman.
• A AAA play-to-earn video game was also in development, led by Thomas Vu (League of Legends, Arcane), featuring NFT avatars and a strong community-driven approach.
• The collection included 12,000 playable NFT avatars, allowing holders to influence the game's narrative and evolution, built on the Ethereum blockchain.
• The project progressed to alpha demo stages and announced plans to integrate external IP licenses to enrich the game universe.
However, for reasons never publicly disclosed, the project was ultimately put on indefinite hold.
Despite its cancellation, Exorians remains a bold and memorable attempt at merging digital storytelling with blockchain technology.
