Yung Rappa — lettering and typography design by José Bernabé, Art Director

Yung Rappa

2018 Logo Typography Art Direction

The work involved creating a logo and graphic identity inspired by 1990s video games and visual culture, using retro aesthetics to convey nostalgia and authenticity within the brand's universe.

The design captures the spirit of the 16-bit era: typefaces, symbols, and graphics reminiscent of classic game interfaces, combined with a contemporary approach that connects with today's urban culture. This visual identity complements adidas' Yung collection, reinforcing the style, colors, and attitude of the '90s while delivering a vibrant and expressive graphic experience.

The project showcases a creative approach that merges typography, lettering, and digital illustration, blending traditional and digital techniques to achieve a visually striking and coherent narrative.
